Char Chinar
Forming a diasporic community, countless Kashmiris have fled their homes in Kashmir after enduring decades of terrorism and marginalization. As an effect of this emigration, second-generation diasporic Kashmiris are losing touch with their culture, traditions, and most importantly, the language. Char Chinar aims to bridge the gaps between interest, structured curriculum, and history of the Kashmiri language to the diaspora. Many have lost their homes due to conflict in Kashmir, but that mustn’t mean we must lose our language, our identity, too.
